Women's Suffrage

Ever since the emergence of the United States of America on that point has unceasingly been some form of oppression of a group people. Where there is oppression there has always been a group of individuals whom fought save to be treated the same as everyone else. While African Americans were crowding to gain more rights, women began to come together to fight for suffrage and equality. As women began to gain more support, men started to put forward excuses for non granting women suffrage; however feelings on both sides of the electrical outlet were split.
Senator George Vasts document identifies him as someone with the intentions to commemorate suffrage away from women at each cost1. The Senators earn starts off by stating that if any form of injudicious, immature, or debauch suffrage were to be feed then it would destroy the twist of the government2. He asserted that the states where womens suffrage was first present were non accurate indicators of how granting women suffrage throughout all of the American states would, in turn, affect the government3. Vast believed that rural atomic number 18as were not persuadable to contributing to corrupt suffrage and remained pure4. In contrast, he renowned that the cities were at risk of corrupt suffrage5.



Senator Vast vindicated his whim by saying that its not in a charrs nature or role to have any other responsibilities then those of a mother or a wife6. The Senator tries to make it irreprehensible by mentioning several times that he is not saying that women are inferior to men, but on the impertinent they are better then men7. Thus, he comes to the conclusion that by getting involved with politics it will take women round off a level8. He then goes on to say how steamy suffrage will have a negative topic on the country, and because women are more emotional then men, they are unqualified to make an accurate political decision9. He says that by giving women the right of suffrage, would actually degrade them10.
